Dining

Crimea offers a variety of dining experiences from authentic Ukrainian to Russian, Tartar, Armenian, and Kavkazian cuisine. Unfamiliar with the local menu? No problem! Our staff will be happy to recommend a dish that will tempt your palate. Restaurants proudly serve Azov sturgeon and the world's best caviar. The sturgeon is caught fresh in the Azov Sea, just 25 miles (40 km) off the coast. Another famous dish is Kavkazian shashlic or barbecue. Menu items include fresh fish and seafood, pork, beef, lamb, chicken and vegetarian dishes.

If you enjoy good country cooking served in a rustic environment, then you will be more than pleased with the ethnic dishes offered by the various establishments in the area. You will find the warm hospitality and great food will more than compensate for the lack of 'western standard' dining rooms.

In general, prices in Crimea are much lower than in western countries. Prices for meals run from US$0.50 - $5.00 in an average restaurant. Local beer costs US$0.50. You can buy a bottle of local wine for US$1.50.
